True to style , this one off brew used a complex malt bill to achieve a dark, dry finish. We used Bavarian Lager yeast and Continental hops to create this beer.
oaked smoked porter - 5.4%
Based on our multi award winning beer, this Porter was aged using oak from single malt Speyside whisky barrels. We let the beer sit for two months, imparting the flavour of the whisky and oak. The result is a heady, boozy tasting porter, with rich smokey undertones and a distinct wood flavour from the oak. We were very happy with the result of this beer, and have further development ideas for this recipe, watch this space!
